Reassignment Information - As
you probably know, WCPSS is currrently in the process of developing
a multi-year
reassignment plan. After public comment, revisions have been
made to the original proposal. The impact on West Millbrook families
is accessible here.
Time to Order a Yearbook! This year we have a committee of yearbook advisers who are working extremely well together and with members of our yearbook staff. The yearbook for the 08-09 school year will possibly one of our best ever. Orders
are being taken through an online system and prices will go up after winter break. Go
to: Josten's Online and
navigate to the WMMS order form. You will need the account number
received in the mailer recently sent home. If you have
misplaced the mailer, call
1-866-282-1516 for assistance with the number.
Electronic
News and Information Update - Parents, students,
faculty and staff create a school community; however, we
realize that middle school students often forget to advise
their parents of school happenings and sometimes forget to
deliver the paper form of the school newsletter, The
Wildcat News. To keep you in the loop when your child
forgets, we have created e-mail groups for each team. Members
of this list will regularly receive the Wildcat Newsletter
and other general school news by e-mail. Team leaders and
teachers also use these lists to advise of team activites
and events. Parents who share their e-mail during team visits
will be automatically added to the list; however, if you
wish to expedite the process of joining the e-mail list,
please send a message to dwalters@wcpss.net with "SUBSCRIBE
to the __________ TEAM EMAIL LIST" in the subject line.

Volunteer - West
Millbrook students need you! Volunteering offers multi-faceted
benefits! Not only do volunteer activities help you
develop a strong connection to your child's school,
volunteering is also a a great way to have fun while
providing an invaluable service. The West Millbrook
community needs you! A PTA volunteer form will be posted
in this space shortly. In the interim, please drop
by the school office and complete the WCPSS volunteer
information form that is only available via the WCPSS
inTRAnet.
