Beta Club
" Let us lead by serving others"

The National Junior Beta Club is an academic honor organization that recognizes outstanding scholastic achievement, promotes strong moral character and social responsibility, encourages service to others, fosters leadership skills, and provides settings for students to develop strong interpersonal skills.

Seventh and eighth grade students with a GPA of at least 3.5 on last year's final report card are eligible to apply for membership. One component of the application process includes two teacher recommendations attesting to moral integrity, service orientation, industrious attitude, and leadership potential. the student must also complete another component of the application which includes contact information, activities and awards, etc. Applications for the membership in the 2011-12 school year will be accepted through noon, Monday, October 3. Students who miss the deadline are invited to apply next year if still registered at WMMS.

Informational meetings will be held on September 20 and 22 at 7:45 in the Media Center. Each meeting will cover the same information, but is being offered multiple times for the convenience of students and parents. (Only come once.)

Builders' Club

Start Date - To Be Announced

Builders Club is an organization for middle school students which is sponsored by the international Kiwanis Club. It is for students who want to take positive, constructive action to build a better world for themselves and others while having a good time. The objectives of the Builders Club are:
  • To provide opportunities for working together in service to school and community
  • To develop leadership potential
  • To foster the development of strong moral character
  • To encourage loyalty to school, community, and nation.

Student Council

The West Millbrook Middle School Student Council is consists of members and officers chosen by the student body.

Throughout the school year, the Student Council, working with the advisors, sponsors a variety of activities in which all students can participate.

Yearbook

The West Millbrook Yearbook, is published each year by a team of students along with a faculty advisor. This publication requires determination to meet deadlines, along with a desire to improve photography skills. Download photographer application here. Due by September 30.
