Teaching and Learning Center - The K-12 Teaching & Learning Center is a subscription service offered by WCPSS through the 2006-07 school year. Usage data is being collected and the subscription will be renewed if its usage is high enough to warrant the cost. You may access it directly from school computers, but will need a password if you wish to use it from home. See Diane for the password. This site has been created for TEACHERS FIRST, and the best way to make it work for you is to customize the TLC to your specific needs and interests.

One of the neatest offerings of the site is that the Teaching and Learning Center staff will customize a research page specifically for your project. Go to: http://k12tlc.net/content/rrgr.htm to see what is available and to complete a resource guide request. Their research request page says, "Tell us about your student research project (please submit a different request for each project), and we will gather together the best resources available on the Internet, create a guide customized to your needs, and put it online for you and your students to use. Give it a try. A customized TLC research resource guide can elevate your students' research to new heights! You have absolutely nothing to lose. If you don't like it - don't use it, but we think you're gonna like it." E-mail your request to: ResearchRequest@k12tlc.net.
